SELF SOOTHE

UX / UI Design

Branding

In this project, I was tasked with creating a UX design f or a mobile app focused on improving mental health. The goal was to develop an app that offers various activities and resources to help users manage their mental well-being effectively. I began by conducting extensive research into mental health apps to understand their features, user interfaces, and effectiveness. This research helped me identify the key elements necessary for a successful mental health app. I then developed a user persona to guide the design process, ensuring that the app would meet the needs of its target audience.

For the app’s design, I focused on creating a clean, intuitive interface that would be easy for users to navigate. I incorporated soothing colors and imagery to create a calming environment for users. I also worked closely with instructors to develop high-quality content for the app, including activities, yoga, running, walking, and meditations.

The result of this project was the creation of the Self Soothe app, a comprehensive mental health app that offers a wide range of activities and resources to help users improve their mental well-being. The app’s integration with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield allows users to earn rewards for engaging with the app, providing additional motivation to prioritize their mental health. The inclusion of emergency contact links and 911 dialing ensures that users have access to help when they need it most. Overall, the Self Soothe app is designed to empower users to take control of their mental health and live happier, more fulfilling lives.
